Make New Contacts, Get Involved, Serve on a Committee!

Serving on a Chamber of Commerce committee is a great way of getting involved. And getting involved can help your business grow, can teach you new things and will give you a sense of accomplishment. Interested? Want more information? Just want to do it?
To join a committee or get more information on how our committees can help you, please contact the chamber directly.

Committee Description
AMBASSADORS/MEMBER OUTREACH

NEW MEMBERS : This committee welcomes new members and helps them feel comfortable with our Chamber.  Committee members make regularly scheduled phone calls and act as a buddy to our newest members.  Being a “buddy” involves delivering plaques and new member information, making phone calls, arranging to meet new members at events, sitting with them and introducing them to others.

EXISTING MEMBERS: Our members are important to us and we want them to know it! We want to make sure that they are aware of the new services that we offer and the programs that we have to assist them.  We also want to know what they need, like, and how we can serve them. The volunteers on this committee make calls to members to "touch base," establish a personal contact and maintain an ongoing dialogue.

Monthly meetings.

GOLF INVITATIONAL
Ninth Annual!

This group of volunteers chooses the format for the event, secures sponsorships and prizes and plans all other details of the day as needed.

Light meeting schedule January – June, greater frequency June –September 8th event.

HOME BASED ENTREPRENEURS

This is a program for our home-based members and is a special group under our Chamber "umbrella."  They meet to address the special needs that arise from working from their homes and they provide each other with mutual support, education and promotion.  They work to provide encouragement, referrals and resources; to provide education on general business topics and professional growth; and to promote the recognition and visibility of home-based entrepreneurs.

Meetings at least once each quarter.

Reports from the committee chairs to the Board of Directors shall be with whatever frequency the events require to be timely, but in no event less often than quarterly; reports should also include specific recommendations where Chamber action is warranted.
